Introduction:Polyacrylamide is abbreviated as PAM, and is divided into anion (HPAM) cation (CPAM). Non-ionic (NPAM) is a linear polymer, and it is one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymer compounds.
Application in water treatment:The application of PAM in water treatment industry mainly includes raw water treatment, sewage treatment and industrial water treatment. In raw water treatment, PAM is used in combination with activated carbon, which can be used for coagulation and clarification of suspended particles in living water. In wastewater treatment, PAM can be used for sludge dewatering; in industrial water treatment, it is mainly used as a formulation medicament. In raw water treatment, organic flocculant PAM is used instead of inorganic flocculant. Even if the sedimentation tank is not modified, the water purification capacity can be increased by more than 20%. Large and medium-sized cities use PAM as a supplement when water supply is tight or water quality is poor. In wastewater treatment, the use of PAM can increase the rate of reuse of the water reuse cycle.
1. This product is used for the treatment of urban domestic sewage and industrial organic wastewater. It is positive in the acidic or salty medium, and it is very effective for flocculation, sedimentation and clarification of the false floating particles with negative charge.

The dosage range of varies from 0.2 - 3.0 ppm depending upon the type of effluent and application. It is always advised to do a jar test for evaluating the functioning and approximate dosage.
