T202-thiophosphonium octyl alkyl zinc salt (ZDDP) is an anti-wear lubricant additive. When it is decomposed by heat, it releases hydrogen sulfide, alkanol, sulfide, disulfide, and also produces O | (- P -S-Zn-S- -S-)n OR formed a high polymer film, which also has the ability to prevent wear. The active element of ZDDP is the S element at two positions, and ZDDP has the most side effects with iron. Possible break bonds are SP and PS bonds. As the SP and PS bonds break, S and decomposition products continue to react with the iron friction side surface to form a reaction film composed of polyphosphate and iron sulfide, thereby effectively Reduce friction and wear.
Dialkyl dithiophosphoric acid is prepared by reacting n-butanol and isooctanol with pentasulfide diphosphorylation, and then dialkyldithiophosphoric acid is formed into a salt with zinc oxide to synthesize thiophosphonium octyl alkyl zinc salt (ZDDP). Both the stage and the salt formation stage were orthogonal experiments with 4 factors and 3 levels. Through the analysis of the factors affecting the yield, the optimum conditions for the preparation of ZDDP were as follows: the acid production stage, the molar ratio of alcohol to phosphorus pentasulfide was 4.2:1. The feeding temperature is 60 °C, the reaction temperature is 95 °C, the reaction time is 1.5 h; in the salt formation stage, the zinc oxide is 20% excess, the feeding temperature is 70 °C, the reaction temperature is 85 °C, and the reaction time is 3 h. The product pH is greater than 6, the yield is greater than 98%.

Storage: Please refer to SH/T0164, for transportation, storage and oil blending. Keep the temperature not higher than 75°C. For long-term storage the suggested temperature is lower than 45°C. The dry, clean and ventilating warehouse is recommended.
