The metal deactivator T561 is a corrosion inhibitor of copper and a non-ferrous metal deactivator with excellent oil solubility. It can be used as a metal deactivator in lubricating oils and has excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear properties. The synthetic process of the product avoids the use of strong ionic acid. The selection of suitable ingredients is higher than the active sulfur content of the product and the acid value of the product is low. T561 has excellent oil solubility, copper corrosion inhibition and oxidation resistance. Hydraulic oil can significantly reduce the corrosion and hydrolysis stability of ZDDP (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate) and T705 (bismuthenylnaphthalene sulfonate) on copper. It can greatly improve the resistance of Daqing paraffin base oil in engine oil. Oxidation performance, can also be used in two-stroke gasoline engine oil, can improve the anti-expansion performance of oil. Experiments show that T561 is a sufficient source of sulfur storage, which can react with active sulfur to form non-corrosive polysulfide compounds, which has the unique effect of capturing active sulfur.
The metal deactivator T561 is a thiadiazole polysulfide which captures active sulfur in the oil and inhibits corrosion of the metal. Because it contains polysulfide bonds, it can form a vulcanization film with the metal surface, thereby effectively inhibiting the catalytic effect of metal ions on the oil, so T561 is a very effective lubricating oil additive in improving the performance of the oil. In the alkaline high-zinc anti-wear hydraulic oil formula, 0.03~0.05% T-561 metal deactivator is added, and the oil can pass the Denison HF-2 hydrolysis stability test. In the formula of internal combustion engine oil, 0.4-0.5% of T-561 metal deactivator is added, and the TFOUT induction period of the oil can be increased by more than 60 minutes. In addition, T-561 metal deactivator can also be used in industrial gear oils and high quality gasoline engine oils.
The metal deactivator not only inhibits the catalytic action of metal or its ions on oxidation, but also becomes an effective antioxidant. It is also a good class of copper corrosion inhibitors, anti-wear agents and rust inhibitors. Therefore, it has been widely used in various oils. For example, in turbine oil, the oxidation stability of the oil can be significantly improved, the wear resistance of the oil can be improved in the gear oil, the anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance can be improved in the internal combustion engine oil, and the copper can be suppressed in the anti-wear hydraulic oil. T561 has a strong function of capturing active sulfur. The ZDDP (sulfophosphonium octyl zinc salt T202) and T705 (dinonylnaphthalene sulfonate) used in the oil have more corrosive substances in the hydrolysis. T561 can reduce the content of corrosive substances. The data show that T561 significantly reduces the SO42 bismuth content, indicating that it has the effect of capturing active sulfur.
In the hydrolysis test of hydraulic oil, there is a competition between corrosive substances and film-forming substances on the surface of copper. T561 has the functions of film formation and capture of active sulfur, so it is more effective than T551 to inhibit copper corrosion.
